Restaurant Nuevo
The Espresso part is not forgotten. I have just been seriously lazy and spent my time on familiar cafes, so there hasn't been much to write about in this department.
Tonight i touched down in Nuevo for some food and wine with Robert, and afterwards we were served one of the best espressos in a long time. Perfectly balanced, so they start of with a bitter feeling, which turns smooth just before you start grimacing. Got two pieces of (mint) chocolate pre cup as well.
Nuevo is more of a food place, but I'm sure they'll serve espressos at the bar if you ask nicely. Also not a bad idea to work up the appetite with a few Tapas first.

Problem: Solved
A few minutes after this picture the table was used for signing a bunch of papers which solved my apartment problem.
Strangely enough, this seemed like a business deal everyone felt positive about: The seller, because she got lot's of euros to pay off her new apartment, me, because I got a really nice apartment at a great location, and the bank, because I will be paying them lot's of euros over the next few decades.

Apparently all it takes is a little CNC work at the optician. I wonder if they give discount on files made at home. Almost makes me wish I needed glasses.

The Baby Fire Truck
It's made for serious business, known officially as "Sisäpihatikas H161" (courtyard ladder), and very necessary here in Helsinki. However, every time the little one comes by, often trailing the big burly vehicles, people start smiling and going ooh. Like when seeing a brave little puppy.

Today's Office
Design can be dirty work, but somebody's got to do it. Most of today was spent at one subcontractor's factory assembling a product to fit our specs.

Lucky New Owner

The youngest team member was all geared up for a test ride, but unfortunately we didn't get the bike done before his bedtime.
Teamwork
A recap of friday night, which we spent turning a sad excuse of a bike into a speed demon to give Heikki as a birthday present. It was definately not a very well organised team effort (among other things I managed to throw away some important bits and pieces which I mistook for trash), but the end result turned out better than good.

A high quality radio was spotted on the bridge of the Suomenlinna ferry (m/s Tor). The captain seems to have good taste in equipment.
The Origin of Beer
According to our annual tradition we visited the Suomenlinna microbrewery with Kim and sampled this years batch. Good enouh to warrant a second and probably a third visit as well during the summer.
