Vista Is Blocking My Way
A bloody big tent pavillion has appeared outside Kamppi for the Windows Vista launch, blocking the way of me and everyone else. Not a good start on my Vista relationship.

Two old birches had been taken down at Sjötorp, and the pieces needed to be moved and be made into firewood. A technologically advanced logging camp was set up for the day.

Coolest Office in Town
Noticed there was someone sitting by the window above the entrance to Kamppi, next to the big screen. That's almost as good a vantage point for watching people move by as the Starbucks in Shibuya.

Drop
Just an excellent detail on my new Zen. Making the logo into a subtle 3D element.
Otherwise I'm not too excited about the glossy finish of the surface, since it probably is one of the most fingerprint prone out there. Also on the physical side, the small overall size makes operating it in a mobile phone fashion with one hand a bit hard. I need to use both, or then have it against a surface like a table or in a pocket. Luckily you don't need to fiddle around at all once you've created some good playlists.

Background Noise Generator
This Creative Zen V Plus will from now on provide me with a soundtrack while on the move. The package promised "an intuitive user interface", and it actually held quite true. A few trials and errors and I was in control. It even passed the "change track without taking it out of the pocket" test (CTWTIOOTP for short) without difficulty. Good stuff.

The Wii box. Obviously done by someone without any sense of how perspective works. Surprising such stuff can get through to public spaces.

Gogo has started to appear around town in a very odd outfit. Could this be the reason for me to visit the opera for the first time?

Lot's of funky stuff like artificial joints and paramedic gear. Just hope I don't have to encounter these things for real.

Personal heart monitors with changeable covers and graphics. Saw them at the Medical Fair here in Helsinki today. Nice approach to make this kind of equipment more approachable.
