Library
Over five months living within walking distance of my local library, and now I finally got myself over there.
Good visit though. Walked back with a nice pile of CDs, containing Pizzicato Five, Boards of Canada, Faithless and The Avalances.

This is a Test
So, the Mac came with a 30 day trial of Microsoft Office (scary enough in itself), and it really makes sure you know it's a trial. That white and yellow box at the lower right stays there throughout any presentation. Thank's a bunch. Luckily it will stop working in a month anyway, so I don't have to be bothered anymore.
The presentation is from Jan Chipchase's blog.

Corel Painter X
Attended a demo of the new Corel Painter X at the Humac store tonight. The software was pretty much a mix of a photoshop -like user interface, and Alias Sketchbook Pro -like end result. A great software for a serious artist, I'm sure, but way too complicated for design sketching. No need to change tools for my trade, then.
Mobile WLAN
This sticker has started appearing in trams. Kind of hard to try out the service, as I usually only ride along for a few stops these days.

Superman Seatgrab
The Dirt comp was high class, with even a landed Frontflip seen in the finals (on BMX, though. The big wheel dudes stuck to backflips).
Choppers
The BikeExpo side wasn't that exciting. Seems choppers could increase in the street scene next summer, as there were quite a few nice ones at the fair.
Cozy
Mikko and Teemu inside a new Halti. The functionality and details were top notch, so if the quality is as good as it should be, then Hilleberg and others have a serious competitor at their hands.
Tent Village
Sportexpo 2007. This was, as usual, one of the more interesting parts of the fair. Nothing better than actually getting to shake the tents up and climb in to look at the details without all the marketing jargon coming in between.

A Girls Best Friend
Saturday night and Jaana threw a housewarming party in Hämeenlinna. This nice present, given by her brother, was something excellent. Good there is still furniture standing after the mandatory too tests.
Frosty Interiors
Apparently the solid stone walls of the tower keep the cold in very well. Outside it was melting rapidly.
Funky Pavillion
Spent last weekend bunked at Mikkos place in Hämeenlinna. The weather wasn't too bad, so we took a walk up to the Aulanko park to justify a pre-dinner sauna.

Kalasatama
The recently opened Metro station gives a new alternative on the way home. No escalator, and the platform on the "wrong" side of the train. Almost like being abroad.

iStickers
Now I can make an iBike, or iSkis, but unfortunately not an iPhone, as the stickers are too big.
Who's Going to Call?
Setting up the thing won't progress before I've provided my phone number. Apparently an e-mail just isn't enough.
