Today saw us hit the road again at some ungodly hour in order to arrive at an industrial site with the morning shift; But getting to see and try some heavy machinery in operation makes this kind of stuff worth the sleep deprivation. You can't get stuck in nice clean office work in this business.

Re-Branding
Meeting up for an ad-hoc interview day this morning (got about 20 done on two sites, good day), I spotted this creative use of an Apple sticker on an old Dell laptop. Not fooling anyone, though.

Tools of a Trade
Roof clearing crew's equipment, shovels and rubber mallets, neatly stacked outside a café, waiting for the team to come by and pick up coffees the next morning.

Stairs
Leading up to an ad agency where we spent the afternoon pleasantly workshopping. But as they say about Las Vegas; What happens in ad agencies stays in ad agencies. Especially when company strategies are involved.
Second Breakfast, Helsinki
Went out to scout some future user interview sites today, and had time for a nutrition and information boost at Cafe Lasipalatsi in the morning. More schedules like today's wouldn't hurt.

Gaiters Mended
I was already last winter on the lookout for new gaiters, but try as I may, I haven't found anything to replace the trusty and light Isuka branded things I got in Asahikawa back in 2002. The only thing wrong with them was that the tightening along the upper rim had failed, but 3€ in parts and 30 minutes work made them good to go again for now.

Shortcut
The amount of snow on Helsinki streets is getting troublesome.
This, however, is not a city street. Just an eventful shortcut over some snowed-up marshland towards our urban hiking trip to Viikki yesterday. When you're about half an hour away from a Kebab, shower and washing machine odd ideas like this shortcut are actually quite fun. If the shortcut would lead to a cold tent and a night of futile gear drying we might have taken the long way around.
