Tucked away on the second floor of the Akateeminen bookstore and pretty much in the shape Alvar Aalto intended it to be, Cafe Aalto gives a high end coffee experience with table service as a standard.
The espresso is decent, but slightly on the mild side for my taste. The 2.70 euro price is kind of understandable because of the table service, but at that price I don't think it would ruin them to include a chocolate.
A definitive bonus with this place is that you can pick up some book in the bookstore and sit down to read it over a coffee without anyone really noticing.
