An energy saver lightbulb: Buying it makes you feel all good and caring. Saving mother earth one little step at a time, and stuff like that. All good, until you consider:
-Unproportionally big plastic package compared to the product. You can transport more regular bulbs in regular square boxes, so this has a bigger ecological impact throughout the logistics chain and final disposal.
-You need to cut the package to remove the product, leaving the paper inside behind sharp plastic edges, should you want to dispose it separately.
-Will you ever have the same light for ten years?
And yes, I bought it and feel very much like a tree hugger, thank you very much.

Green Wall
Lobby of the conference floor at Hotel Rica Talk, Stockholm. The wall was some kind of felt, with irrigation channels behind, appearently. Gave the room a nice greenhouse smell, and beats potted plants hands down in wow-factor.
Slim
The A320 we flew to Stockholm yesterday had been refitted with new Recaro slim seats, giving surprisingly much legroom. Comfort seemed good as well, though it's hard to say for sure on just a short 50 minute hop.

We Have Power
Been so busy coming to terms with having two liveable rooms again that I haven't been posting anything for a week, apparently.
managed to spend quite some time in trains too during the weekend. Don't know if it's a new feature or what, but the IC2 car I boarded last had power sockets for every seat in sight, at least. Now that's serious progress, if they standardize it.

The Bedroom is Back
Took me all day, but got the wallpaper up and the new floor done. Still a lot of small stuff left to do, but basically it's inhabitable again.
