Cheers! I may not know much about art, but I know what I like, to quote the pope from Monty Python. The setup tonight was from left to right: Bunnahabhain Darach Ur, Lagavulin Distiller's Edition 1991, Laphroaig Quarter Cask, Caol Ila OMC bottled by Douglas Laing 1979/2007 and Ardbeg Supernova.
My favourite was definately the Caol Ila, which age and maturity-wise was in a category of it's own of course. Pretty sublime stuff. However, the Bunnahabhain was also a very pleasant surprise, totally different from the 12 year old I've had before. Lot's of character even without the smokiness usually present in Islay single malts.
